Coy G. Gilbreath

August 14, 2013 ~ March 4, 2021 (age 7)

Coy Grant Gilbreath received his heavenly wings on March 4, 2021. He was born on August 14, 2013 in Sulphur Springs, Texas and resided in Quitman, Texas.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 8, at 2:00 PM at the Quitman Youth Foundation Baseball Fields.  Visitation will be held Sunday, March 7, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.  Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.

Coy attended Quitman Elementary School and enjoyed basketball, football, baseball, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his brother Cash. Coy was a loving soul who touched the lives of many throughout his young journey and was known for his outgoing personality and sweet smile. People could always count on Coy for a hug and an “I love you”.

Coy was greeted in heaven by great-grandparents Billy Frank and Mary Gilbreath, Jessie Martin, Jr., Wilson M. and Thadis Hudnall, and George and Edna Vandergriff; and grandfather Ronnie Moreland.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents Todd and Manda Gilbreath of Quitman and Wendy Gilbreath of Quitman; one brother, Cash Gilbreath, and two sisters, Hannah Gilbreath and Jaycee Whitehead; grandparents Greg and Becky Gilbreath of Quitman, Lonnie and Linda Hudnall of Sulphur Springs, and David and Terri Click of Mineola; great-grandparents Latrece Martin of Edgewood and Tim and Linda Phillips of Holly Lake. Also left to cherish his sweet smile and fun-loving personality are his great-aunt Vicki Clanton and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and classmates.

Although we may never understand why he was taken from us at such a young age, we will not allow this to rock our faith because we know Coy was pure at heart and is now a soldier of the Lord. We did not lose a son because we know exactly where he is: catching the biggest fish heaven has to offer. Fly high, Son.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dennis Hunt, Cody Gilbreath, Justin Lawson, David Spindle, Richard Spears, and Dustin Clanton.

**There will be a few chairs setup in the infield for the family and a few friends.  Anyone requiring a chair during the Service will want to bring one.  Thank you.
